I have a friend who has a large police dog called Jack. Police dogs are often
very intelligent. Every Sunday afternoon my friend takes Jack for a long walk
in the park. Jack likes these long walks in the park very much.
One Sunday afternoon a young man came to visit my friend. He stayed a long
time. He talked and talked. Soon it was time for my friend to take Jack for
his walk. But the visitor still stayed. Jack became very worried about his
walk in the park. He walked around the room several times and then sat down
directly in front of the visitor and looked at him.
But the visitor paid no attention. He continued talking. Finally Jack could
stand it no longer. He went out of the room and came back a few minutes later.
He sat down again in front of the visitor but this time he held the visitor's
hat in his mouth.

我有個(gè)朋友，他有只叫做杰克的大警犬。警犬一般都很聰明。每個(gè)周日下午，我的朋友都要帶杰克到公園里遛很長(zhǎng)的路。杰克非常喜歡公園里這種長(zhǎng)距離的散步。
一個(gè)周日下午，有個(gè)年輕人去拜訪我的朋友。他呆了很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，聊了又聊。很快，我的朋友帶杰克遛彎的時(shí)間到了。但客人還不走。杰克很擔(dān)心公園散步不能成行。它圍著房間轉(zhuǎn)了好幾圈，然后徑直坐在客人的面前看著他。
但是客人沒(méi)有注意到。他繼續(xù)喋喋不休地說(shuō)個(gè)不停。最后，杰克再也無(wú)法忍受了。它跑出房間，幾分鐘后又跑了回來(lái)。它又在客人面前坐了下來(lái)，不過(guò)這次它嘴里叼著客人的帽子。
