1. because of 是復(fù)合介詞，其后可接名詞或代詞，動(dòng)名詞以及由關(guān)系代詞型的所what 引導(dǎo)的從句等(但不能接that從句)。如：

2. 由because of 構(gòu)成的介詞短語一般只用作狀語，而不用作表語。作表語時(shí)可用due to。如：
誤：Tom’s absence was because of the rain.
正：Tom’s absence was due to the rain. 湯姆因下雨不能到場。
注：在閱讀中有時(shí)也可見到because of 短語用作表語，但值得注意的是，此時(shí)句子的主語通常中代詞而不是名詞。如：
It is because of hard work. 那是因?yàn)閯诶鄣脑颉?BR> That will be because of money. 那將是因?yàn)榻疱X的緣故。
