My best friend, Jack, has a problem. He likes playing computer games very much. Sometimes he doesn’t go home for lunch at noon. Instead, he goes to the Internet bar to play computer games. Sometimes he plays games till midnight. His parents both work in another city. Jack lives with his grandma. She is old and Jack doesn’t follow her advice. Now Jack does badly in his subjects. I want to help him. But I don’t know how to help him. Can you help me? Thanks a lot.

I know you are worried about your friend, Jack. If I were you, I would do the following things. First, write him a letter, telling him that you are worried about him. Let him know that playing computer too much is bad. Next, have lunch with him. If he wants to go to the Internet bar, stop him and play sports with him at school. If possible, make a telephone call to Jack’s parents. Ask them to pay more attention to Jack. I’m sure Jack will stop playing computer games and work harder at his lessons.
