Required documentation includes:
· Official transcripts of previous studies
· Evidence of work experience including details of management experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis.
· Two written references that are work related. Your referees need to substantiate the nature of your work and the managerial duties you currently perform. They should verify details including but not limited to: managing a team of people, managing client accounts, the managerial components of any major projects you have been directly responsible for, and/or financial delegations for which you are directly responsible.
· Evidence of residency status
· Evidence of compliance with English language requirements
· For international students GMAT results
If you are a permanent resident who has completed your prior degree in a country other than Australia and the degree was not taught in English, then you will be subject to the entry requirements of an international student but the $50 application fee will be waived.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for entry into the MBA program:
· hold a graduate diploma in business administration from UQ with a GPA of 4.5, or hold an approved degree in a relevant field with a GPA of 4.5, and
· have completed at least 3 years relevant work experience including at least 1 year at supervisory/management level approved by the executive dean, and
· international applicants must achieve at least 6.5 overal with no subscore less than 6.0 in the IELTS (or equivalent test)*, and
· international applicants must complete the graduate management admission test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 550*.
A student may be required to pass a qualifying examination in basic computing, written communication and basic mathematics and statistics before enrolment is approved.
* Permanent residents may be required to sit an IELTS and/or GMAT test if their prior studies were taken in an institution where English was not the language of instruction.

How to apply?
Applicants must meet each of the following conditions in order to apply for the scholarship:
1. have already submitted an application for entry into the full-time (12 month) MBA program and be eligible to receive an ‘unconditional’ offer for admission^. That is, you must have met the standard entry criteria for acceptance into the full-time (12 month) MBA program (including GMAT, English Language proficiency, and work experience); and
2. provide a personal statement of no more than 1000 words (use 1.5 spacing and 12 point font) in support of your application. This statement should:
a. explain why you want to undertake the MBA at UQ Business School; and
b. describe what value you think you will bring to your fellow MBA students; and
c. outline your long-term career goals; and
d. provide evidence of your leadership skills and community involvement; and
e. outline how you will add value to the MBA program; and
3. supply two written references as follows:
a. a professional reference from a current or former (recent) supervisor or manager; and
b. a character reference; and
4. attend an interview – in Australia or via video-conference/skype/phone interview. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to arrange a suitable time; and
5. NOT have been awarded any other MBA scholarship as defined by the UQ Business School.
^Applications for admission to the full-time (12 month) MBA program should be submitted separately to your scholarship application. Details to apply for admission into the full-time (12 month) MBA program can be located on the UQ Business School website or the Courses and Programs website.

All international students applying to study in Australia must have a student visa unless they have an alternative visa that enables them to study full-time.

How do I apply for a student visa?
For more information on the current visa processing times, please contact your nearest Australian Embassy, Consulate or High Commission. They will also be able to give you further information about how to apply for a student visa, and whether you will be required to undergo health checks or provide chest X-rays.
International students are required to demonstrate and/or declare that they have access to sufficient funds to be granted a Student visa. Applicants may have to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover these expenses for the first one or two years in Australia, depending on their assessment level.
Some programs are eligible for Streamlined Visa Processing. If your program is eligible for Streamlined Visa Processing you will be assessed as if you are lower risk (similar to Assessment Level 1).
If your program is not eligible for Streamlined Visa Processing you need to allow sufficient time for your student visa to be processed as it can take up to six months depending on your citizenship.

To obtain a visa you will need to:
1. Select a visa according to your course of study: There are a number of student visa options available. To determine which student visa is best suited to your study program please visit the Department of Immigration and Border Protection's website.
2. Determine if your program is eligible for Streamlined Visa Processing. If your program is eligible for Streamlined Visa Processing you will be assessed as if you are lower risk (similar to an Assessment Level 1). If your program is not eligible for Streamlined Visa Processing, your assessment level is determined by your nationality. Information about assessment levels is available via the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website.
3. Understand your visa conditions: Please note that if you are granted a student visa, you must comply with all conditions as outlined by the visa. These conditions include (but are not limited to) the following. You must:
· complete your program within your visa duration
· make satisfactory academic progress
· not interrupt your study, except for compelling or compassionate grounds
· maintain approved Overseas Student Health Cover whilst in Australia
