Returning Library Books
還書
Meimei likes reading books. She often goes and borrows books from the school library. Thoughshe likes reading, she doesn't take care of her books. She throws them everywhere on the tableon the ground; even under her bed. Her roommates often remind her of this, but she turns adeaf ear to them.
梅梅喜歡讀書，她經(jīng)常去校圖書館借書。盡管她喜歡讀書，但是她并不愛護(hù)書。她把書仍得到處都是，桌子上、地上,甚至床底下。同屋同學(xué)提醒她多次，她卻置之不理
Not until yesterday did her bad habit bring her great trouble. It was the deadline for two books.She looked everywhere but failed to find them. When her roommates came back and learnedthat, they began to help her look for the books in the room.
直到昨天她的壞習(xí)慣終于給她惹了大麻煩。有兩本書昨天到期，可是她哪兒都找不到。同屋同學(xué)回來后，也幫助她一起找。
Twenty minutes passed without any result. Meimei cried helplessly. It was 4:30 and Meimei hadto go to the library, for it closes at 5. As soon as she told the story to the librarian and askedfor an extra day with tears, the librarian looked at her with surprise and said, "What a carelessgirl! You returned them, yesterday! Don't you remember?"
