昆士蘭大學的主校區(qū)設址于昆士蘭首府布里斯班市內(nèi)的St.Lucia區(qū)，位于布里斯班河畔，距市中心乘船(CityCat)約20分鐘，乘公車(412等等)約20分鐘。科學，工程，部分商業(yè)，藥劑師，人類科學，藝術，法律，教育等等主要專業(yè)均在此校區(qū)。占地面積約114公頃。校內(nèi)有銀行、書店、藥店、眼鏡店、牙病診所、販賣部和咖啡屋，坐擁昆州規(guī)模最大的圖書館;另備有全澳大學中最完善的體育設施，包括室內(nèi)運動場、運動醫(yī)療中心、足球場、網(wǎng)球場、田徑場、奧運標準的溫泉游泳館、曲棍球場、排球場、自行車和競走場地、射箭場。此外還設有1座電影院、3座藝術劇場、畫廊、博物館、音樂廳等，一些古典或流行音樂家和演員時常來校演出或參與學生活動。
