教學目標:
1.知識能力目標
a. Vocabulary: cat, dog, that
b. Function sentences: That is a ......和This is a......
2.運用能力目標
a. Compare and introduce: This is a...... (near to you)
b. That is a...... (away from you)
3.情感能力目標
Train the students to communicate with others in real life.
重點難點:
Let students introduce some things by using the sentence pattern of “This is…”。The book shows an interesting story and lead students to imitate .And then practice the sentence pattern through different activities and games.
1. Students can introduce someone or something far away by using“That is…”。
2. Students can introduce someone and something nearby or far away fluently.

教學過程:
Step 1.Warming-up
1. Greeting.
2. Free talk.
Step 2.Presentation
1. T shows the PPT for Ss. Let Ss make sentences. Example
This is our classroom.
This is our teacher.
This is my seat.
…
2. PPT show a cat.T: What’s this? Ss: Cat.
cat(up, down)---a cat---This is a cat. Let Ss do the action as a cat.
3. T show a picture of cat. Point to the picture and say “This is a cat.” Then point to the PPT and say “That is a cat.” Let Ss find the difference between the patterns and learn “this, that”。
Let them say: 離我近的 this is
離我遠的 that is
4. T ask two Ss to the front, let one stand beside, the other stand far away and make sentences as an example for Ss:
T: This is A.
T: That is B.
Then T asks more Ss to practice in front.
5. Teach “dog” and the pattern “That is a dog.” in the same way.
6. Game: Let us play a passing game. Use “This is…”and “That is…”
Step 3.Consolidation
1. Ss open their books, first look at the pictures and listen and point and repeat.
2. Finish exercise 2 and learn the chant.
Step 4.Homework
Listen to the tape and read the text.
