1.不會(huì)講故事

目前的留學(xué)文書寫作中,大部分學(xué)生的美國(guó)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)文書都是一開始說(shuō)自己是誰(shuí),然后下面說(shuō)自己學(xué)習(xí)成績(jī)?nèi)绾危n外活動(dòng)如何,然后又說(shuō)自己做了哪些研究,最后就是我要申請(qǐng)啥學(xué)校和專業(yè)。這種思路無(wú)論怎么寫,都是普通的留學(xué)文書,是簡(jiǎn)歷的重復(fù),給審核者無(wú)法留下深刻的印象。好的文書一定是根據(jù)學(xué)生的情況,先挖掘亮點(diǎn)和主線,確定思路,然后在某一、兩個(gè)點(diǎn)上進(jìn)行深入剖析。
3.因?yàn)槲幕町惖膯?wèn)題,詞不達(dá)意
例如你說(shuō)你崇拜的人是屈原,但如果你不交代這個(gè)人是誰(shuí),老外是無(wú)法理解你到底在說(shuō)什么。所以申請(qǐng)不能站在自己的角度考慮問(wèn)題,而是要更多站在閱讀者的角度考慮你說(shuō)的這個(gè)東西別人能不能理解。
4.喜歡使用華麗的辭藻和生詞
提醒大家明確的一點(diǎn)事,美國(guó)留學(xué)文書最重要的不是辭藻,而是通過(guò)文書體現(xiàn)一個(gè)人的精神。使用華麗的辭藻,特別容易造成誤解,其實(shí)作為國(guó)際學(xué)生,我們能夠準(zhǔn)確表達(dá)自己即可,不要瞎用連自己都無(wú)法準(zhǔn)確把握的生詞。
5.抄襲
每年的留學(xué)申請(qǐng)中都有學(xué)生因?yàn)槌u申請(qǐng)文章被大學(xué)發(fā)現(xiàn),給予重罰?,F(xiàn)在一些大學(xué)有文章庫(kù),輸入你的文章,尤其是留學(xué)中介為了節(jié)省時(shí)間而抄的文章,如果發(fā)現(xiàn)和庫(kù)中的文章重合,學(xué)生就面臨被重罰的危險(xiǎn)。這個(gè)要非常小心。
