Location
King’s College campus is located in the historic heart of Old Aberdeen. It is a short walking distance from the city centre as well as the beach and has very good connection to the airport and the train station. Foresterhill, our medical campus, is part of Europe’s largest health campus, right next to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the Institute of Medical Science, and the brand new Suttie Centre.

Schools
Teaching at the University of Aberdeen is organised across three colleges, those of Arts & Social Sciences, Life Sciences and Medicine, and Physical Sciences. Together they offer over 650 undergraduate degrees and over 140 taught postgraduate degrees. Students benefit from being taught by academics who are active in research, with many involved in international collaborations at the forefront of discovery in their respective discipline.

Facilities
On top of the facilities mentioned above, the University has over 100 student societies and almost 60 sports teams, a very active Students’ Association, plenty of social and study spaces, including state-of-the-art IT facilities, as well as Student Support Services and a Careers Service.

Accommodation
The University offers catered and self-catered accommodation in our Halls of Residence. All Halls offer single bedrooms, with some being right on campus, and the rest being a short walk off campus in one of Europe’s largest student villages.

Research strengths
The University has an outstanding track record in pioneering discoveries which have changed thinking and practice in medicine, science and humanities over five centuries, including work that has contributed to five Nobel Prizes.
