The curriculum has been developed to understand Confucianism through the study of a wide range of Oriental Philosophies - including Taoism and Buddhism, as well as in-depth exploration of Western Philosophy. By intensely studying East Asian traditional culture and arts and learning about criticism of culture, cultural philosophy, and the cultural industry, students are able to develop a better understanding of traditional culture and advance it further with the fashion of modernity. The twin disciplines of Economics and Statistics are closely intertwined in both the development and practical application of Economics. In 1953, the Department of Education opened offering a professional program designed to prepare individuals for a variety of careers in the field of education. To meet the increasing needs for middle school teachers, the College of Education was established in 1972, merging all education departments of SKKU

College of Education
In 1953, the Department of Education opened offering a professional program designed to prepare individuals for a variety of careers in the field of education. To meet the increasing needs for middle school teachers, the College of Education was established in 1972, merging all education departments of SKKU
教育學院
1953年，成均館大學成立教育系，開設(shè)有培養(yǎng)教育領(lǐng)域各類職位人才的專業(yè)課程。為了滿足日益增加的中學教師需求，學校合并各教育系，于1972年建立了教育學院。
The goal of the College of Education is to cultivate competent secondary teachers and education specialists with the mental fortitude, interpersonal understanding and physical strength to train the generation of tomorrow. In this way, the College of Education provides a variety of courses such as pedagogical theories and practical methodologies which are required in secondary education.
The College of Education contributes to middle-class education development in Korea. Consistently ranked as one of the best in its field, the College of Education has produced more than 3,000 secondary school teachers and education experts.
教育學院的目標是培養(yǎng)富有競爭力的中學老師和品質(zhì)堅毅、善于溝通、身體素體過硬的教育人才，進而教育國家的下一代。為了這一目標，教育學院開設(shè)了包括教育理論和實踐方法論在內(nèi)的諸多中學教育所需的課程。

School of Art
The School of Art offers programs designed for students with varied interests and abilities. Course work is structured for both those who expect to become professionals and those whose interests mainly lie in art as a vocation or as a means toward esthetic fulfillment.
The school has shown steady growth since its establishment in 1997. Our faculty has concentrated its efforts on education and research in order to expand on our great potential for producing creative talents for the culture and design industries of the future.
