International Excellence Scholarships

The International Development Office is offering a number of International Excellence worth up to £6000 for students from China.
You can apply for the International Excellence Scholarship if you:
are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) China
are classed as an overseas student for fee purpose
are enrolling on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at Swansea University for the first time in September 2017 OR have already submitted your application and hold an offer to study at Swansea University in September 2017

Worth up to £6000* for Undergraduate study
Worth up to £4000 for Postgraduate study
* Undergraduate International Excellence Scholarships are available for the first year of any Undergraduate degree programme with up to £4000 being awarded. Scholarship holders progressing to Year 2, will be eligible for a £2000 award dependent on academic results of Year 1 of 65% and above.
Please note that students applying for MPhil or PhD are not eligible to apply for the PG Excellence Scholarships and students progressing from ICWS and students currently studying at Swansea are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Please state clearly which scholarship you would like to apply for, the IDO will only accept one application per student. Any duplicate submissions will not be considered and may delay your scholarship application process.

1.Eira Davies Scholarship
The Eira Francis Davies Scholarship is a full tuition fee scholarship, and will be awarded to female students ordinarily resident in a developing country as listed* who are admitted to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate course within the College of Human and Health Sciences.

Swansea University is proud to be part of the Santander Network of Universities and grateful to Santander for the provision of these scholarships.
Each Santander scholarship is to the value of £5,000, towards tuition fee costs and cannot be used towards living costs.

4.School of Management Developing Futures Scholarships
Seeking outstanding future alumni and ambassadors
The School of Management understands what employers look for and the School has created this unique Developing Futures Scholarship programme. The School of Management is dedicated to our students and passionate about student success; in both academic excellence and involvement in student life.
Our Developing Futures programme is more than a scholarship package, along with financial support for an academic year you will also get the chance to gain valuable career-enhancing skills. Recipients of the scholarship will be required to work with the Recruitment and Marketing teams on three events, plus one event for the Student Experience team and the Careers team. Recipients are also expected to join a society or become a course representative for their degree programme.
The closing date for applications is 11th August 2017.

5.Music Scholarships
Our Music Entrance Scholarships are designed to enable talented musicians to continue to develop their skill and musicianship in a supportive environment. These scholarships are open to new undergraduate students studying any subject and are tenable for the duration of the scholar's undergraduate degree.
Two kinds of music scholarships are available:
University Instrumental Scholarships
Joint Choral Scholarships, held in conjunction with St Mary’s Church
The scholarships have a nominal value of £1000 per year, comprising:
Regular individual lessons in the scholar’s instrument or voice
A bursary of £300 per year, to support the purchase of sheet music, exam fees, etc

College of Human and Health Sciences International Scholarships
The College of Human and Health Sciences is awarding 15 Postgraduate Taught Scholarships will begin their studies in 2017.
Eligibility
You must be a non-EU student and have, or expect to achieve, excellent academic grades to this point.
You must hold an offer to study on a postgraduate taught course offered by the College Human and Health Sciences at Swansea University from September 2017.

International Postgraduate Alumni Awards
The scheme is open to all International Swansea Alumni candidates applying for a Taught Master’s or Research degree in any subject area.
The definition of ‘alumni’ is candidates who have successfully completed a ‘full’ degree programme at Swansea University and includes students who have qualified with a Bachelor degree applying for a Taught Master’s programme and Taught Masters’ students applying for MPhil/PhD.

The scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential. Awards are typically for a one year Master’s degree at universities across the UK.
