Academic Merit Scholarships
Eligibility
To be considered for an academic scholarship, submit a complete admission application by the Feb. 1 deadline.Late applicants might be considered for an academic scholarship based on fund availability.
For scholarship purposes, a freshman applicant is defined as a current high school student who - will graduate prior to the start of the fall semester and will not earn any college credits after graduation.
Scholarship notification will be made no later than March 1 on TUportal.
The nonrefundable tuition deposit must be submitted by May 1 in order to secure a scholarship. A deposit made later will cancel the scholarship.
Academic merit scholarships are limited to eight consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment. The scholarship is guaranteed for the first four consecutive semesters, at the end of which a minimum cumulative GPA must be achieved and maintained in order to renew the scholarship annually. Merit scholarships are designated for tuition only. Specific details will be provided in the student's scholarship notification letter from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Students awarded our full-tuition scholarship, the President's Scholar Award, may also apply for one $4,000 summer educational enhancement stipend, to be used toward approved study away, research, internship or other academic activity.
Amount
Academic scholarships range from $3,000 to full tuition. The availability of funding and the size, quality and characteristics of the overall applicant pool will determine the number and the value of academic scholarships awarded.
Application/selection
No separate application required. Recipients are selected by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Air Force ROTC
Eligibility
U.S. citizens who:
are high school graduates (or equivalent);
can pass the physical examination for participation in ROTC;
possess at least a 2.5 grade point average; and
have 1100 on the SAT are eligible.
Amount
Tuition scholarships are for $9,000, $15,000 or full tuition plus an annual stipend of $3,000 and $255 per semester for books for two- (sophomores), three- (freshman), or four-year (for entering students) scholarships. Four-year scholarship winners are also eligible to receive a $2,500 payment for room and board.
Application/selection
Students interest in four-year awards must apply by December 1 of the year before they intend to enter the university. Applicants will be interviewed and winners will be notified by June 1.
Two- and three-year scholarship applicants can apply beginning in January, with notifications sent in May.

Army ROTC
Eligibility
U.S. citizens who:
are full time Temple University students;
can pass the physical examination for participation in ROTC;
have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average;
excel at an Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) consisting of push-ups, sit-ups and a two mile run for time.
Amount
Full tuition and fees scholarships (resident or nonresident rate) plus a monthly stipend ranging from $300 for freshman to $500 for seniors. Additionally, there is an allowance of $1200 per year for books.
Application/selection
Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not on financial need.

Athletic Scholarships
Eligibility
Participants in all varsity sports will be considered for scholarships.
The University and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) determine the requirements and standards.
Amount
Full and partial tuition scholarships, plus room and board and book allowances, are available.
Application/selection
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics identifies and recruits students and selects scholarship recipients from among those who are admissible to the university.

One $2,400 tuition award, renewable for one year with the stipulation that a 3.0 GPA is maintained.

Diamond Bands Scholarship
Eligibility
Qualified students enrolled in any Temple school or college may become a member of one of the university’s four bands and be considered for scholarships.
Amount
$500 to $2000 (based on students’ participation and musicianship).
Application/selection
Boyer College of Music selects participants in the Diamond Bands and awards the scholarships. Interested students should contact the Director of Athletic Bands, Room 229 Presser Hall, or call 215-204-8321.

Eligibility
Individuals 17-25 years of age
Applicants must be residents of the U.S.
Open to all those who are graduating in 2016 or have graduated high school, received their GED or have been homeschooled
Hope Paige customer within the last 5 years or immediate family member (siblings, spouse/partner, children, grandchildren or parent)
One applicant per Hope Paige customer
Previous winners of the Herb It Forward scholarship cannot apply.
Only fully completed applications, which include a transcript, GED or State Certification will be considered.
Amount
9 individuals will receive a scholarship of $5,000 each.
9 individuals will receive a scholarship of $2,500 each.
9 individuals will receive a scholarship of $1,000 each.
Starting October 1, 2015 through May 1, 2016, Hope Paige Medical ID customers will be able to donate additional funding. Hope Paige Medical ID will match all donations made through www.hopepaige.com up to $10,000. Additional funds donated will be split equally amongst recipients.

The Scholarship Process:

Applications will be accepted through January 1, 2016. 27 scholarship recipients will be announced on March 1, 2016. Final scholarship amount will be announced May 4, 2016. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to recipient’s school.

Demonstrate financial need as determined by the institution's Financial Aid Office
Be a graduate of one of the high schools (Maguire Scholars Program High Schools)
Qualify for admission to selected institution
Students must have at least a 3.0 grade average or equivalent in high school
Student must be engaged in community service and/or extracurricular activities
Student or family must contribute at least $5,000 per year to tuition, room & board ($1,000 at a community college)
Student participates with regular "intrusive counseling" in accordance with university requirements

Mario D. Fantini Scholarship in Education
Eligibility
Entering freshmen who
are graduates of South Philadelphia High School; and
who plan a career in education.
The award is renewable for up to four years, with the stipulation that the student maintains a 3.0 GPA.

One new full tuition scholarship awarded every two years.
Application/selection
No separate application is required. The recipient is selected by the university’s Cosby Scholarship Committee of the Provost’s office.
Pennsylvania Governor's School Merit Scholarship
Eligibility
Entering freshmen who:
are graduates of one of the Pennsylvania Governor’s Schools of Excellence;
have scored at least 1050 on the SAT;
rank in the top 30% of their graduating class; and
have a 3.2 GPA are eligible.
This scholarship is typically given to strong academic students who may not have been offered other merit scholarships during the admissions review process. It is not a supplemental award. Scholarships are renewable for up to four years with academic eligibility.

$2,500 (five awards offered per year)
Application/selection
No separate application is required. Students must apply to Temple before March 1st. Recipients are selected by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions based on credentials submitted with the application for admission. All interested candidates should include their certificate of completion with their application materials.

The nonrefundable tuition deposit must be submitted by May 1 in order to secure a scholarship. A deposit made later will cancel the scholarship.
Academic merit scholarships are limited to eight consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment. The scholarship is guanranteed for the first four consecutive semesters, at the end of which a minimum cumulative GPA much be achieved and maintainted in order to renew the scholarship annually. Specific details will be provided in the student's scholarship notification letter from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
The scholarship is designed to reinforce Temple's commitment to the community surrounding our Main Campus and to help increase access to higher education for talented students living there. This scholarship is typically given to strong academic students who may not have been offered other merit scholarships during the admissions review process. It is not a supplemental award.
Scholarships are renewable for up to four continuous years for freshman and three continuous years for transfer students while maintaining a cumulative 3.0 grade point average and full-time enrollment (at least 12 credits).
Returning student's cumulative GPA is reviewed annually (after spring grades are posted) and students that don't meet the 3.0 GPA requirement are subject to losing their scholarship.

1、進(jìn)入大一新生
2、住在坦普爾的北費(fèi)城社區(qū)，在申請(qǐng)入學(xué)的時(shí)候，郵政編碼是19121，19122，19132和19133。
3、為了獲得學(xué)術(shù)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，申請(qǐng)人必須在2月1日前提交完整的入學(xué)申請(qǐng)。逾期的申請(qǐng)者只可以申請(qǐng)可用基金資金的學(xué)術(shù)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。
4、申請(qǐng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的申請(qǐng)者應(yīng)該目前是一名高中學(xué)生，他將在秋季學(xué)期開始前畢業(yè)，也畢業(yè)后不會(huì)去其他的大學(xué)。
5、獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金通知將于3月1日在TUportal上全部公布。
6、申請(qǐng)人必須在5月1日之前繳納學(xué)費(fèi)(不可退還)，逾期繳納的申請(qǐng)人將被取消獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)資格。
7、學(xué)術(shù)成績(jī)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金僅僅頒發(fā)給連就讀8個(gè)學(xué)期的全日制學(xué)生。獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金將在前4個(gè)學(xué)期頒發(fā)給獲得者，如想繼續(xù)獲得，獲得者的年平均績(jī)點(diǎn)必須符合學(xué)校的最低標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金只用來抵扣學(xué)費(fèi)。具體詳情請(qǐng)閱大學(xué)招生辦公室的學(xué)生獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金通知書。
8、該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金旨在加強(qiáng)寺廟對(duì)我們主校區(qū)周圍社區(qū)的承諾，并幫助增加對(duì)住在那里的有才華的學(xué)生的高等教育的機(jī)會(huì)。這一獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金通常授予那些在招生審核過程中可能沒有獲得其他獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的優(yōu)秀的學(xué)生。它不是一個(gè)補(bǔ)充獎(jiǎng)。
