In order to enter Degree programs, students have to take and pass the entrance examinations and an interview conducted by Kobe University. Following are the general information on eligibility, selection method, and admission information for each Faculty / Graduate School.

1.Eligibility
Applicants must be foreign nationals who do not hold Japanese nationality and have successfully completed 12 years of school education or the equivalent. Those who are expected to graduate by March 31 of the year they are entering are also eligible.
Those who have taken “Examinations for Japanese University for International Students EJU” and the examinations conducted by each Faculty, and earned sufficient scores required by the Faculty.
*Since most undergraduate classes are taught in Japanese, an advanced level of Japanese language skill is required in order to be enrolled as undergraduate students. Many degree-seeking international undergraduate students first study Japanese courses at private language schools before entering Kobe University.

Selection Method
“Entrance Examination for Privately-financed International Students” is conducted by each Faculty. Students are selected based on the combination of faculty examinations, interview, the test results of EJU, and academic records. Examination subjects vary according to each Faculty.

1. Obtain Application Information and Application Forms
When to request
Application information is available on the Faculty’s website and also on the website of Japan Study Support. However in order to apply, applicants have to obtain the original application forms. Each Faculty distributes application forms at certain period usually once a year.
Where and how to request
Applicants can obtain application forms by requesting by post. When requesting by post, be sure to enclose a return envelope with the necessary stamp attached to the Student Affairs Section of the respective Faculty.
* The return envelope should be a size that can enclose an A4-size Legal size without folding the forms.
* Please attach the necessary amount of stampage to the return envelope.

All examinations are conducted in late February at Kobe University. Applicants should make arrangement to come to Kobe at this time.
*Applicants must take the designated subjects of EJU Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students prior to taking the Kobe University

How to Find Out the Result
In early March, applicants will receive an admission notice and other information by post if they passed the examination. Applicants who failed the examination will not receive the notice.
If accepted, applicants must make the payment of admission fee by bank transfer, and submit the necessary documents.

In order to enter Japan, international students must have a passport and a “College Student Visa”. Please refer to “Procedure for Entering Japan” for details on how to apply for the visa.

Secure Accommodation
There are University housings and other accommodation that students can apply for through the university, but these rooms are limited. Please use the “Kobe University Student Apartment Search System” to look for private apartments. This system has been established with Nasic National Student Information Center for Kobe University international students. Students can also use this search system to reserve an apartment from overseas. It is available in 4 languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean) and will also support students with lease agreement.
Students can also search apartment through Kobe University Co-op Service Center after arrival in Kobe.
Reserve an airplane ticket and purchase a traveler’s insurance. (Recommended but optional) (when applicants resides overseas)

如果通過(guò)考試，申請(qǐng)人會(huì)在三月上旬收到郵寄的入學(xué)通知和其他相關(guān)信息。沒(méi)有通過(guò)考試的學(xué)生不會(huì)收到通知。
如果被錄取，申請(qǐng)人需要通過(guò)銀行轉(zhuǎn)賬支付入學(xué)費(fèi)，提交所需文件。
6. Prepare for Coming to Japan
Prepare Passport and Visa (when applicants reside overseas)
In order to enter Japan, international students must have a passport and a “College Student Visa”. Please refer to “Procedure for Entering Japan” for details on how to apply for the visa.
Secure Accommodation
There are University housings and other accommodation that students can apply forthrough the university, but these rooms are limited. Please use the “Kobe University Student Apartment Search System” to look for private apartment. This system has been established with Nasic National Student Information Center for Kobe University international students. Students can also use this search system to reserve an apartment from overseas. It is available in 4 languages (Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean) and will also support students with lease agreement. For more information please refer to “Housing information”.
Students can also search apartment through Kobe University Co-op Service Center after arrival in Kobe.
Reserve an airplane ticket and purchase a traveler’s insurance. (Recommended but optional) (when applicants resides overseas)
準(zhǔn)備護(hù)照和簽證
為了能夠入境日本，申請(qǐng)人必須持有護(hù)照和大學(xué)生簽證。關(guān)于簽證申請(qǐng)辦法，詳情請(qǐng)參看日本入境流程。
住宿
神戶(hù)大學(xué)提供有大學(xué)宿舍和其他住宿，學(xué)生可以通過(guò)大學(xué)申請(qǐng)，不過(guò)房間數(shù)量有限。請(qǐng)使用神戶(hù)大學(xué)學(xué)生住宿搜索系統(tǒng)尋找私人住宿。該系統(tǒng)和 Nasic 國(guó)家學(xué)生信息中心共同建立，專(zhuān)門(mén)為神戶(hù)大學(xué)國(guó)際學(xué)生服務(wù)。學(xué)生也可以從海外使用該系統(tǒng)租房。系統(tǒng)提供四種語(yǔ)言(日語(yǔ)、英語(yǔ)、漢語(yǔ)和韓語(yǔ))，并且提供有學(xué)生租賃協(xié)議幫助。
也可以在達(dá)到神戶(hù)大學(xué)之后通過(guò)神戶(hù)大學(xué)合作服務(wù)中心尋找租房。
建議預(yù)訂機(jī)票，購(gòu)買(mǎi)旅游保險(xiǎn)。
