一、Undergraduate Students
Qualifications
1) Applicants must not be Japanese citizens.
2) The completion of 12 years of education (or its academic equivalent) in a country other than Japan, or special permission from the Minister of Education (MEXT).
3) Applicants are required to take the examination for Japanese University Admission for international students.
本科生資格條件
1)申請人不能是日本國籍;
2) 在日本以外完成12年教育或等同教育，或者得到教育部的特殊許可;
3) 申請人需要參加日本大學(xué)國際學(xué)生入學(xué)考試。
Admissions procedures
(Please note that the dates may differ slightly depending on the year.)

Take the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU)
Late November
Get the registration materials and application form from the Admission Section, Kumamoto University
Late January to early February
Submit the application forms to the Admission Section, Kumamoto University
Middle of February
An admission ticket for the exam will be sent to those who have been judged qualified to enter.
The exam must be taken on the appointed day at the time and place specified on the admission ticket.
Late February
Take the entrance examination
The applicants will be selected on the basis of results of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students and Kumamoto University's entrance examination, as well as an evaluation of each applicant's application documents.
Early March
Receive the results of the entrance examination
Successful applicants will be notified by mail, and their examinee numbers will be posted on campus
Late March
Entrance procedures (Pay entrance and tuition fees, etc.)

Enroll in Kumamoto University

3月下旬：入學(xué)手續(xù)(支付入學(xué)費、學(xué)費等)
4月：注冊熊本大學(xué)
二、Admission for Graduate Students
Qualifications
?Master's course applicants: The completion of 16 years of education in a country other than Japan.
?Doctoral course applicants: The completion of a master's degree course in a country other than Japan.
?PhD course in the Faculty of Medicine: The completion of 18 years of education in a country other than Japan.
As the qualifications vary among graduate schools, please refer to each application handbook.
研究生入學(xué)
資格條件
碩士課程申請人：在日本以外的國家完成16年教育;
博士課程申請人：在日本以外的國家完成碩士學(xué)位課程;
醫(yī)學(xué)院博士課程：在日本以外的國家完成18年教育
各個研究生院的資格要求不盡相同。具體請參照每各個研究生院的申請手冊。
Admissions procedures
Application forms will be available at the Admission Section, Kumamoto University. Applicants should submit the application forms to the Admissions Division by the appointed day.
Kumamoto University grants admission to applicants based on the results of an entrance examination, as well as an examination of each applicant's application documents. Regarding the contents of the examinations, please refer to each respective application form.
Successful applicants will be notified by mail within a month of their examination.

三、Admission for Research Students and Auditors
研究型學(xué)生和旁聽生入學(xué)
Overview
Research students conduct research in their particular specialty area under the supervision of their academic advisor for a predetermined period of time.
As a general rule, all undergraduate faculties and graduate school research departments require research students to stay for a period of one year.
Auditors are required to take 10 or more hours of classes (equivalent of 7 subjects) per week, and they receive credit as part-time students. The period of study for auditors is one year.

研究型學(xué)生在學(xué)術(shù)指導(dǎo)老師的的指導(dǎo)下在預(yù)先規(guī)定的時間內(nèi)從事專門領(lǐng)域研究。
一般而言，所有本科生院系和研究生院系要求研究型學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)一年。
旁聽生每周需要上10個或10個以上課時(等同于7門課)，并獲得在職學(xué)生學(xué)分。旁聽生聽課的時間為一年。
Admission procedures
- Enrollment for April: The application period is in late October of the previous year. (For those applicants who are already in Japan, the application deadline is in late February.)
- Enrollment for October: The application period is in late April in the same year. (For those applicants who are already in Japan, the application deadline is in late June.)
The examination for research students and Auditors will be conducted by screening the candidates' application papers and by personal interview. (The Faculty of Letters and the Master's Course in Letters require an additional essay examination.)

Credit transfers
(Faculties of Letters, Law, Engineering, and Health Sciences)
Students who have graduated from a junior college (or who will in the current academic year) and who wish to enter Kumamoto University as 3rd-year students should directly contact the Academic Section staff in the Faculty in which they are interested.
轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)分
(文學(xué)院、法學(xué)院、工程學(xué)院和健康科學(xué)學(xué)院)
對于已經(jīng)畢業(yè)或?qū)⒃诋?dāng)前學(xué)年從?？茖W(xué)校畢業(yè)、并且有意以第三學(xué)年學(xué)生身份入學(xué)熊本大學(xué)的學(xué)生，應(yīng)該直接和感興趣的學(xué)院的學(xué)生處工作人員聯(lián)系。
Entry visas to take the examination
For applications for entry visas to take either the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students or the university's entrance examination, please contact your nearest embassy (or consulate general). Please apply for a Temporary Visitor. At that time, it is advisable to show documents such as your examination admission card.
