In NTU, the School of Computer Science and Engineering and the Nanyang Business School have come together to design two hybrid undergraduate Double Degree programmes: Business and Computer Engineering, and Business and Computer Science to capture this changing economic landscape.
The double degree programmes integrate two disciplines thereby broadening your scope and enable you to leverage on a kaleidoscope of opportunities. Structured in a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum, the 4-year undergraduate programme allows you to hone your business management skills and excel at software application or computer engineering and development skills. You will be introduced to the basics and the combined application of each field, in key industries such as financial services, engineering, consultancies, manufacturing, telecommunications, tourism and retail. The programmes offer around 50 courses that constitute elements of each degree, as well as a range of broadening electives that will supplement your course of study. You will have the opportunity to embark on an 8 to 10-week Professional Attachment in key industries. Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) has since 2004 noted that employers generally prefer graduates with technical skills supplemented by business domain knowledge and soft skills. With the trend of outsourcing IT to vendor organisations, there is a growing need to serve business clients with a blend of technology and business skills for their sales and customer support functions. The key sectors which a need for such talents are those of the financial services, tourism-hospitality-retail, government services, healthcare, biotech, and manufacturing. Since AY2006, SCSE mounted the Double Degree programme in Computer Science and Business in recognition of the industry needs in such fields.
The Nanyang Business School (NBS) has more than 5 decades of experience in educating business leaders. 雙學位，雙前途
修習2個專業(yè)，商學和計算機工程學，這個雙學位項目由南大商學院和計算機科學與工程學院聯(lián)合辦學。這個項目是一個混合課程，由商學與計算機工程學科的基礎知識綜合構成。
新加坡發(fā)展局指出，從2004年起，用人單位越來越青睞兼具技術技能與商業(yè)知識的畢業(yè)生。隨著新興的IT技術進入各大產業(yè)，企業(yè)在銷售和客服方面，對兼具IT技術與商業(yè)技能的人才需求越來越強。這些產業(yè)主要有金融，旅游，政府服務，醫(yī)療，生物科技還有制造業(yè)。從2006學年開始，計算機科學與工程學院在認識到這些領域的需求之后，立即設立了商學與計算機工程雙學位項目。
南大商學院在培養(yǎng)商業(yè)領袖方面積累了超過50年的經驗。在一個強大的國際的專業(yè)學院的支持下，憑借不斷進步的課程和教學方法，南洋理工大學商學院是亞洲僅有的6所獲得歐洲質量發(fā)展體系(EQUIS or European Quality Improvement System)及國際商學院協(xié)會(AACSB or Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business)兩項認證的商學院之一。
南大計算機工程學院成立于1988年，旨在為學生提供一個受到全球計算機領域啟發(fā)的基礎雄厚的平臺。它的藝術之國研究中心和實驗室有最先進的設備，以培養(yǎng)未來的計算機工程師，網(wǎng)絡設計師網(wǎng)絡管理專家。
這個新的項目會在原來現(xiàn)存的計算機與商學雙學位項目的框架之上有所提升。在這里，你會接受兩大杰出專業(yè)的基礎知識與實際運用的培養(yǎng)。
這個雙學位項目滿足了日益增長的信息專業(yè)與管理專業(yè)人才的需要。四年學習之后，你會獲得兩個學位商學學位(B.A)和工程學位(計算機工程)。
