一、申請時間表
Admissions to the master's programmes at Aalto University are organised once a year. The application period for studies starting in autumn 2018 runs from 15 December 2017 to 24 January 2018.

二、申請者資格
1.申請資格
Applicants are eligible to apply for a master-level studies in the field of art and design if they have completed:
Finnish Bachelor's degree from a Finnish university of applied sciences,
Finnish Bachelor’s degree from a university or the equivalent education,
Foreign degree from a foreign university or institution, giving eligibility for Master’s level studies in that particular country
or
Person who has equivalent studies or skills and knowledge
The application must include officially certified copies of school, work or course certificates which the applicant considers significant for the selection process and which show that the applicant has skills and knowledge in the relevant field equivalent to the above-mentioned degrees. If you apply on the basis of other equivalent studies, your eligibility will be determined by Admission Services in collaboration with the programme’s selection committee.
Note: You cannot apply on this basis if you have completed a degree which grants you eligibility for master level studies.

Students in their final year of a degree programme are eligible to apply, provided they will graduate by 31 July 2018. If the applicant is accepted to the university, he/she must deliver a certified copy of the degree certificate giving eligibility to apply (and its authorised translation, if applicable) to the university by 7 August 2018 at 3 pm (GMT +3:00). If the student is not able to graduate or fails to deliver a degree certificate by the given deadline, the offered study place will be cancelled.
If you apply with an incomplete degree, please note that you will have to be able graduate by 31 July 2018. In some faculties/institutions it may not be possible to graduate during summer. The students must reserve enough time to complete all courses required for the degree and for the administrative processes at their home institution.

Selection for Master's programmes is done through a one- or two-stage selection process. In the two-stage process, some of the applicants are rejected after each stage. The talent and suitability for the field demonstrated in the admission process are decisive.

Read the instructions for applying carefully and find out about programme-specific evaluation criteria and documents.Book a language test well in advance so that your test scores will arrive at the university on time. More information about language tests and requirements can be found in Language Requirements. Note that if you are required to provide proof of your language skills in the form of a language test, you will need to register for a test as soon as possible. It takes a significant amount of time for test results to be available after you have taken the test. You need to plan ahead and should take the test well before the application period ends; it is recommended that you take the test before the application period begins.

Applicants can choose their study option from master's programmes or their major subjects. You may apply for only one study option in the field of art and design in Aalto University. Only one application per applicant can be processed. Changes to the study option can be made only during the application period.There are separate application procedures and separate application forms for the master’s programmes in the fields of science and technology and business and economics. One applicant can apply to all three fields but only one application per applicant per field is processed. In addition to the master’s programmes in the field of science and technology, applicants may apply to the field of Erasmus Mundus, Nordic Master and other international double degree programmes. These programmes have their own application periods and procedures. Please follow the instructions on their own websites. If the student is accepted both to an international double degree programme and a regular master's programme, he/she can accept only one study place (one place per term provision).

Read document Application Guide (pdf) as well as the information regarding eligibility to apply, application process as well as required documents carefully before filling out an application. You can start the application process either from the list of study options on this page by choosing ‘Apply here’ or in studyinfo.fi by choosing ‘Fill in application’ on the Programme description site. The buttons are available and active only during the application period. The service will direct you to the registration form of Aalto University’s application system (apply.aalto.fi).The application forms are specified by field. Before filling out the application form or submitting any documents, please read the admission requirements and instructions as well as in the document 'Application Guide' carefully.
The application system is used throughout the whole application process. Applicants use the application system to follow the status of their application and see the arrival of their documents. Also the final admission results are published via the application system.

Filling in and submitting the application, delivering the required documents and possible premliminary assigments are the first stage of the entrance examination.
After filling in and submitting the online application, applicants must print out a cover letter and send a signed copy to Admission Services with all the required application documents. The application can be processed only if the paper cover letter and all the necessary enclosures are received by the university by the deadline. Incomplete or late applications will not be processed. Simply submitting the online application form is not enough. More information about submitting the application documents can be found from section Required application documents. It should also be noted that only one application from each applicant will be processed. If you send more than one application, only the most recent one will be processed.
Applicants are responsible for following the arrival of their documents and status of their application in the online application system. Due to the large amount of applicants it can take a month before your application is processed. Please do not send email enquiries about the status of your application; it will be processed as soon as possible and you can follow the status of your application from the application system.All required documents must be received by the Admission Services no later than 24 January 2018 at 3 pm (GMT +2:00).

Admission Services process all the applications and check the general eligibility, i.e. check the authenticity of the documents, make sure that the application contains all the requisite documents and that the applicant fulfills the admission requirements. Only the eligible applications are sent on to the programme staff for academic assessment. Incomplete or ineligible applications will be rejected. Applicants should check the Monitoring page in the application system to see the status of their application, i.e. whether their application has been received by the Admission Services and if there are documents missing from it. Unfortunately we are unable to answer any enquiries about the arrival of application documents.

Based on the academic evaluation, some of the applicants will be invited to the second stage of the selection process. If a study option's selection process only has one stage (it will be mentioned on the study option’s description page when the application period begins) the final admission decision is made during the academic evaluation. Applicants will receive notification of how they did in the first stage of the selection process by 15 March 2018. All applicants are informed by email of their rejection or selection to the second stage. Applicants can also see if they have been selected to the second phase by checking the Monitoring page in the application system.
Admission is granted on a competitive basis - in the second stage the applicants are assessed and compared to each other. Only the best applicants will gain admission. The number of seats is restricted. This means that some applicants might not be admitted even if they are eligible for the programme. The study options are not obligated to fill up all the available study places.

Final results will be published at the earliest on 6 April 2018. When the results are published, all applicants will receive an email directing them to the online application system to check their final admission decision. Once the results have been published, a list of the accepted applicants will be published on this site. Note that the list will only contain the names of those applicants who have given the permission to publish their admission decision on the website. If the applicant is accepted to Aalto University, a formal letter of acceptance will be sent by the School of Art, Design and Architecture.

The right of appeal means that the applicant has the possibility to request for rectification if she/he believes that there has been an error in the decision-making process. The appeal should be submitted to the Registry of the University within 14 days after the publication of the decisions. In the appeal the applicants should specify the reasons for it. The right of appeal is not intended as means for receiving feedback or asking for further information about the application process.
