一、因果論證句型
It is no simple job to induce reasons for this complicated phenomenon.為這樣一個復雜的現象給出原因不是一個簡單的事情。
【示例】大學生目前就業(yè)困難的原因
【分析】兩個參考原因：
1)Some students are pursuing too high a goal when seeking for jobs.
2)Some majors the students study on campus do not fit in with the demands of jobs.
1、關鍵詞展開法
將主題句中的關鍵詞展開說明，如將too high a goal展開來表達：Some students are pursuing too high a goal when seeking for jobs. They care about various factors such as salaries, working conditions and so forth, which narrows their choices.
2、推導法
推導帶來何種結果，如：Some majors the students study on campus do not fit in with the demands of jobs. Hardly can such students find favorable positions.(專業(yè)不好的學生很難找到合適的工作)
二、原因列舉句型
There are many causes/reasons for the dramatic growth/decrease. Firstly,…Secondly,…Finally,…這種急劇的增長/下降有很多原因。首先，……其次，……最后，……
1、例證法
舉例論證是英文寫作最常用的論證手段。英文寫作厭惡陳詞濫調，喜歡使用個人經歷或具體例子進行論證，以使文章更具說服力。在歷年真題中，2004年和2007年第三段都要求舉例論證。即使提綱沒有要求舉例，第二段的意義闡釋段也可以進行舉例論證。
A case in point is the successful launching of “Shenzhou 7” Spacecraft which sets China in a high position of aviation and space flight. Although it means a great achievement for us Chinese, we are facing new challenges in the future and need to do further research in space technology. Another illustration is closely related to us, the examinees. If we pass this test and are fortunately admitted by a university, we shall not stop making efforts. 2、將特殊例子變普遍的方法
