首先教育專業(yè)大致分為兩種，一種是education，一種是teaching，區(qū)別是能否有在澳洲從教的資格，要求方面，teaching的要求會更加高一些，畢竟是之后教其他人如何學習的，所以語言、專業(yè)要求會更高。
Education是以學術(shù)研究為主的課程，所獲得資格證書叫學術(shù)證書（Academic Qualification）。
Teaching是以教學實踐為主的課程，所獲得的資格證書叫（Teaching Qualification），在teaching中分為：1.學前教育（Early Childhood），以后面對的是學齡前兒童（0-7歲），主學教育，護理以及如何保持孩子的健康。2.小學教育（Primary），以后面對的是小學的孩子（6-12歲），這個是要求老師可以教學生所有的科目，除開特別的幾門，比如體育、音樂等。3.中學教育（Secondary），以后面對的就是中學的孩子（12-18歲），這個一般要求老師教兩門以上的專業(yè)課程。
還有一個值得一提的是TESOL專業(yè)，這個專業(yè)是教授非英語類國家學生英語的專業(yè)，簡單來說就是教那些非母語為英語的學生如何學習英語。這些算是Teaching的范疇。
教育行業(yè)就業(yè)前景
澳洲教育專業(yè)因為分為兩種模式，就業(yè)也有所不同。
Education大部分無法獲得教育資格證，所以不能成為教書的老師，但是可以從事教育相關(guān)的工作，比如研究教育課件開發(fā)，如果回國的話，像國內(nèi)現(xiàn)在越來越流行的雙語培訓學校，也可以從事相關(guān)教育工作，也可以在國內(nèi)考教師資格證，有留學背景也會讓自己求職選擇更加廣泛。
Teaching可以獲得教育資格證，就可以在澳洲當老師，老師這個職業(yè)職業(yè)在澳洲是人才稀缺行業(yè)，特別是中小學老師，在澳洲當老師工作穩(wěn)定，收入可觀，同時也受人尊重，是一個很不錯的行業(yè)。
