2021考研英語：長難句題型的翻譯技巧
一、例1
In other words, at a time when the working class has turned the country on its political head, frustrated that the opportunity that once defined America is vanishing, one obvious solution is staring us in the face.
【結(jié)構(gòu)分析】：大家看到這個句子很長不要著急，先來分析它的句子結(jié)構(gòu)。本句為復(fù)合句。主句的謂語部分由at a time修飾，time又由關(guān)系副詞when引導(dǎo)的定語從句修飾。該從句中的主語the working class由后置定語frustrated修飾，后接that引導(dǎo)的賓語從句。此外，句中用到一個固定表達(dá)turn sth. on its head，意為“徹底改變……”。
