雅思備考:考試時(shí)間如何選擇

    由于雅思考試每次的試題是不同的,因此考生就會(huì)認(rèn)為某些場(chǎng)次的考試相對(duì)簡(jiǎn)單,而某些場(chǎng)次的考試則會(huì)難一些。大家都希望能夠選擇一場(chǎng)相對(duì)簡(jiǎn)單的考試來(lái)參加,這樣就可能獲得更好的成績(jī)。但是,這樣的機(jī)會(huì)真的存在嗎?
    在幾年前的雅思考試中,這樣的機(jī)會(huì)是存在的。由于2005年以前,雅思考試題庫(kù)中的題目非常少,所以樣本的差異較大,每次考試多多少少都會(huì)存在難度上的差異。而由于當(dāng)時(shí)題庫(kù)小且規(guī)律性極強(qiáng),能夠輕松預(yù)測(cè)到考試的版本。有興趣的同學(xué)可以到3G雅思網(wǎng)翻翻2005年的預(yù)測(cè),基本上全部聽(tīng)力預(yù)測(cè)只有20多個(gè)版本,只要考舊題命中率就是100%。從2003年起,雅思考試中心開(kāi)始有計(jì)劃地使用新題,并將新題補(bǔ)充到題庫(kù)之中。2005-2006年引入的新題的數(shù)量達(dá)到了高峰,有時(shí)候聽(tīng)力、閱讀都會(huì)出現(xiàn)所有的sections全部都是新題的情況,使機(jī)經(jīng)完全失效,目前聽(tīng)力機(jī)經(jīng)中的大量的V30***和V50***版本都是在那幾年產(chǎn)生的。不過(guò),那幾年出現(xiàn)新題規(guī)律性非常強(qiáng),可以根據(jù)規(guī)律預(yù)計(jì)到哪場(chǎng)出新題,哪場(chǎng)出舊題,因此可以給大家提供報(bào)考場(chǎng)次上的建議。但是,隨著雅思考試題庫(kù)的不斷豐富,目前的考試規(guī)律性已經(jīng)沒(méi)有那么強(qiáng)了,而且基本不會(huì)出現(xiàn)全部是新題的考試,多數(shù)場(chǎng)次是由大量舊題和少量新題組合而成的。因此,從出現(xiàn)新題的角度講,每場(chǎng)雅思考試之間的差異已經(jīng)不大了。
    那么,在考試難度上是否還有差異呢?由于雅思考試的題庫(kù)已經(jīng)趨于穩(wěn)定,近幾年每年雅思考試中心都會(huì)對(duì)過(guò)去一年中所有的考試版本作可靠性評(píng)估,即評(píng)估這些考試版本是否能夠客觀穩(wěn)定的反應(yīng)考生的英語(yǔ)水平,從另一個(gè)角度講,其實(shí)也就是在檢驗(yàn)每場(chǎng)考試的難度差異是否越來(lái)越小。

    寫(xiě)作和口語(yǔ)模塊的可靠性由于是主觀題目,并不能采取聽(tīng)力和閱讀的方式,但也通過(guò)了可靠性測(cè)試。
    這些測(cè)試數(shù)據(jù)可能考生很難看懂,其實(shí)也不需要看懂,其說(shuō)明的問(wèn)題就是每場(chǎng)考試之間的難度差異是不大的,每場(chǎng)考試都基本能夠達(dá)到預(yù)期的測(cè)試效果,即能夠基本真實(shí)的反映考生的英語(yǔ)水平。通俗地講,就是每場(chǎng)雅思考試之間的整體難度相差不大,確實(shí)有些場(chǎng)次聽(tīng)力略微簡(jiǎn)單,那么閱讀就可能略難一點(diǎn);閱讀略簡(jiǎn)單的一場(chǎng)考試,或許寫(xiě)作的題目略難寫(xiě)一點(diǎn)。如果想通過(guò)預(yù)測(cè)考試難度來(lái)選擇“最簡(jiǎn)單”的一場(chǎng)考試,幾乎是不可能的。
    那么,考生在選擇報(bào)名時(shí)間的時(shí)候,又應(yīng)該考慮些什么因素呢?
    ◆ 根據(jù)自己的復(fù)習(xí)情況來(lái)確定考試時(shí)間
    一般考生在雅思考試前都需要一段時(shí)間的強(qiáng)化復(fù)習(xí),應(yīng)該根據(jù)自己的復(fù)習(xí)情況合理安排考試時(shí)間。比如Jason希望復(fù)習(xí)兩個(gè)月以達(dá)到6.5分的水平,那么他就可以報(bào)兩個(gè)月之后的考試。
    ◆ 把考試安排在相對(duì)比較空閑的時(shí)間
    雅思考試畢竟需要時(shí)間和精力來(lái)復(fù)習(xí)和考試,考試不要安排在與其他考試或工作重合的時(shí)間,盡量安排在假期、空閑的周末等相對(duì)充裕的時(shí)間來(lái)進(jìn)行。這樣,考試可以在一個(gè)相對(duì)放松的環(huán)境下進(jìn)行。
    ◆ 應(yīng)該為第二次考試留出時(shí)間
    有時(shí)候,我們不能保證一次考試就能夠達(dá)到我們期望的分?jǐn)?shù),在這種情況下,我們還需要再考一次。所以,在報(bào)名時(shí),應(yīng)該為下一次考試留出時(shí)間。比如,Daniel希望在2012年9月赴英國(guó)留學(xué),他向?qū)W校提供7.0分雅思成績(jī)的deadline是2012年6月,那么他應(yīng)該安排至少兩次雅思考試,第二場(chǎng)不晚于2012年4月,第一場(chǎng)一般提前第二場(chǎng)2個(gè)月以上。如果能夠一次通過(guò)當(dāng)然更好。
    ◆ 如果堅(jiān)持不想遇到新題目,可避開(kāi)每年1月、5月、9月的首場(chǎng)考試。

    ◆A類考生如果希望避開(kāi)流程圖、地圖題小作文,盡量選擇4月、7月和10-12月。
    近期,這個(gè)規(guī)律正在逐漸被打亂,基本上每年都會(huì)考4-6次流程圖類的小作文,分布非常凌亂。相對(duì)來(lái)說(shuō),4月、7月和10-12月流程圖類題目出現(xiàn)的概率較小。
