以hometown為例， where do you come from?
Eg. I am from a fantastic city, Suzhou, which is one of the most historical cities in China. （總說你的印象，套用復(fù)合句）You know, there is an old saying goes that, as there is paradise in heaven, there are Suzou and Hangzhou on the earth. Suzhou is famous for its classical gardens, such as The Humble Administrator’s Garden, The Mast of Nets garden, The Tiger Hill and so on. （分說特征，引用古語，舉例子）
還出現(xiàn)了一些熱門話題如：advertisements, traveling, going out, food and cooking, gifts, the internet, holidays etc.
以the internet 為例：
1.Do you ever use the internet?
Yes, Quite often. I browse the internet webpage almost every day, such as sohu.com, sina.com, taobao.com, youku.com etc. And I absolute adore the feeling of being online.
2.What do you do on the internet?
For the most part, I check my email box, read some current news, and chat with my friends. I use MSN and QQ a lot, say as long as 5 hours everyday, to keep in touch with my friends and family. It’s quite convenient and free of charge.
3. When did you start using the internet?
When I was a freshman in college I started to know QQ by word of mouth, which was used by most of my high schoolmates. Once I chatted with my friends with QQ, I felt so warm; coz I could not only hear their voice but also see their images. It was a company at a special and favorite time in my memory. I quite cherished it for its convenience to keep in touch with my friends.
4.Do you think the internet is a good thing?
From my perspective, it is absolutely something. I find it quite useful. I know friends from the internet, I learn knowledge from the internet, and I share my stories and experiences with my friends and relatives. All in all it is a useful tool for me to broaden my horizons.

Describe a useful skill you recently learned (for example, driving a car or cooking).
You should say:
what the skill is/was
where you learned it

and explain how you think this skill will be useful in the future.
例文：(what the skill is/was)
The skill I recently learn is driving, which is a useful skill that I was dreaming of learning when I was a child. ( 首句復(fù)合句) The reason why I learn driving is that it can help me save lots of time instead of taking a bus or riding a bicycle. I can save at least a third of time by driving.(解釋好處1，并且用數(shù)字說明) And it also gives me a great sense of security when driving a car compared with riding a motorcycle or a bicycle.(解釋好處2，做對(duì)比) Another thing made me learn driving is that it provides lots of mobility for me. I mean, I can go wherever I want just by driving my own car, I feel the whole world is under my control. (解釋好處3，加感受)
(where you learned it)
I took a driving class a few months ago, and after taking the computer based examination, and then I practiced driving skills by operating a car under my coach’s instruction. I found taking the course a little bit boring, coz I had to memorize lots of rules and signs in order to drive safely. But, I found operating the car quite exciting and fascinating, I just took my coach’s words, and I made my car mobile. It was a lot of fun. (注意過去時(shí)態(tài))
(how you learned it)
At first, I thought learning to drive was a piece of cake. I could just operate steering wheel(方向盤), step on the accelerator pedal(油門)and the brakes (剎車)when needed. But things turned out to be much more complicated then I first thought. I had to learn to pay attention to the road condition (路況) all the time, whether there is someone behind tries to overtake (超車). Sometimes it was easy to let my mind wander, and it would be dangerous to be on the road if that happened. I practiced a lot and at the same time asked my experienced friends for some helpful hints. By learning hard, I finally could drive a car quite well, and I successfully got my driving license two weeks ago. (注意過去時(shí)態(tài)同時(shí)，注意順序)

Driving would be one of the most useful skills I learnt in the future. For me, I would go aboard for further study in a couple of years. I plan to take part-time jobs at that time, so I need a great mobility from the place I live, to school and to work. I may not live on campus, coz I heard from my friends that renting a dorm room on campus is not as inexpensive as renting a room in a house downtown. Besides, I may study late at night in school library, and the bus may not run that late, so driving allows me effective and efficient study life. All in all driving would be a skill that I can’t live without in the future. (注意將來時(shí)態(tài)，可以用虛擬語氣)
