T1 Your friend is considering dropping out of university. What suggestion would you like to give him?
觀點(diǎn):he should not do that
論點(diǎn):1. 如因?qū)W費(fèi),則可以依靠貸款或者打工
2. 如因課程難度高,則可以參加課后補(bǔ)習(xí)班
Response:
Well, he should not do that and there're possible solutions to every possibility he dropped out of school. Firstly, he may lack money for tuition. For this, he could make a loan or take a part time job. Secondly, he may fail exams and cannot catch up with other students. For this, he can take training sessions after class. Moreover, he may lose interest in college education and for this, he could be reminded of the importance of certificates.

T1 What do you think is the most significant benefit that internet brings to our life? Explain why you think this benefit is important. Please include reasons and details to support your response.
論點(diǎn):1. 讓世界變小
2. 娛樂的主要工具
Response:
On one hand, it makes the world a smaller one. In the past, when a family or a friend was overseas, it was less likely to keep in touch with him or her. But today, thanks to the development of modern technology, with the help of online communication tools, we can talk whenever and wherever we want. On the other hand, it’s a main form of entertainment in modern society. People nowadays are mostly stressed out by work, and relaxation is the only thing they think of after a working day. So they are indulging themselves in online games, online videos and online shopping, in order to temporarily forget the burden in real life.

T1 Talk about a positive experience you recently had working with another person. Explain why this experience was important to you.
觀點(diǎn):a volunteer in English corner
交到好朋友的同時(shí)英文有所提高
Response:
I once worked as a volunteer in English corner. I used to hate English very much, because no matter how hard I had tried, I simply could not raise my English score. When I was almost to quit my efforts to the course, I met Tim, a friend in a local English corner. He invited me to be a volunteer there. Surprisingly, this helped me a lot with my poor English. On one hand, as a participant, I had to force myself to speak. This improved my fluency and vocabulary. Moreover, I made a lot of friends who like English and our friendship encourages me to develop further in English.

T2 Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The most important lessons cannot be learned in classrooms. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
觀點(diǎn):贊成
論點(diǎn):1. 能夠帶來收入
2. 積累社會(huì)經(jīng)驗(yàn)
Response:
I believe so, and that’s why I take part-time job weekly. Firstly, part-time jobs bring me money. It on one hand contributes our expensive tuition and housing and on the other hand releases parents’ financial burden. We are therefore less worried whether we can make a living without parents. It’s about independence. Moreover, it accumulates social experience. There’s something that cannot be obtained in class, such as work experience. And during a part-time job, we start to learn how to effectively communicate with other peers in the working surroundings and become more mature than those who have zero work experience.
