這些動詞或短語動詞都含有“處理”，“對付”之意。
deal with : 既可指處理具體事情，也可指處理或解決具有抽象意義的問題。
He must deal with many difficulties.(他必須應(yīng)付許多困難。)
cope with : 指成功地處理或?qū)Ω陡鼮橹卮?，更為?yán)重的問題或事物
I don't know how she copes with looking after her family and doing a full-time job.(既要照顧家庭又要工作, 我不知道她是怎樣應(yīng)下來的。)
dispose of與deal with同義，普通用法。
He doesn't know how to dispose of his spare time.(他不知如何打發(fā)空余時間。)
manage : 指處理日常事務(wù)與工作，也可指經(jīng)營管理。
My son is a lawyer, so he manages all my legal affairs.(我兒子是律師, 由他處理我全部的法律事務(wù)。)
handle : 從原義“手柄”，轉(zhuǎn)引申為作“處理”解時，其內(nèi)涵是管理和操縱。
