其實，我們常說的“黑”某人，這個“黑”一般有兩層含義：一是諷刺，我們可以用sarcasm或sarcastic來表示，前者是名詞，或者是形容詞。

“黑”的第二層含義是“貶損、抨擊他人”，我們可以用deprecate。

Their faces were blackened by the smoke.
