“老賴(lài)”，專(zhuān)指欠了別人錢(qián)遲遲不還的人。法律意義上的“老賴(lài)”，一般是指在民商領(lǐng)域中的一類(lèi)債務(wù)人，其擁有償還到期債務(wù)的能力，但是基于某種原因拒不償還全部或部分債務(wù)。從某種意義上說(shuō)，“老賴(lài)”不但是指一類(lèi)社會(huì)群體，而且可以說(shuō)是社會(huì)轉(zhuǎn)型階段的一種社會(huì)現(xiàn)象。

A “deadbeat” refers to a person who hasn’t paid their debts for a long time. From a legal perspective, a “deadbeat” is a debtor who has the ability to pay back matured debts but refuses to pay part or all of their debt for any number of reasons. In a sense, the term “deadbeat” not only refers to a social group, but may also refer to a social phenomenon during a period of social transformation.
