五音戲原名“肘鼓子”，發(fā)源于山東章丘、歷城一帶，流行于山東中部的濟(jì)南、淄博及周邊地區(qū)。表演時一般是先吐字，后行腔，演唱用本嗓，表現(xiàn)的多是當(dāng)?shù)剞r(nóng)村婦女的形象和生活狀態(tài)，生活氣息強(qiáng)烈，方言純樸自然，常用民間諺語和形象比喻，深得百姓喜愛。2006年，五音戲被列入第一批國家級非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)名錄。

Wuyin Opera, originally called Zhouguzi Opera, derives from Zhangqiu and Licheng in Shandong Province and became popular in Jinan and Zibo in central Shandong Province and the surrounding areas. In the performance, performers sing the words firstly and then use the tunes. They sing through natural voices to describe images and lifestyles of local rural women. The use of the native dialect, proverbs and vivid metaphors make it enormously appealing to common people. In 2006, Wuyin Opera was included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
