開(kāi)元盛世是指唐朝在唐玄宗治理下出現(xiàn)的盛世。唐玄宗在位44年，曾用年號(hào)為先天(712年)、開(kāi)元(713-740年)、天寶(741-756年);在開(kāi)元年間，唐玄宗起用賢臣，整飭吏治，政治清明，進(jìn)行兵制改革且拓展西域的邊疆，重新恢復(fù)絲綢之路，并大力發(fā)展經(jīng)濟(jì)，提倡文教科學(xué)發(fā)展，增強(qiáng)外交，使唐朝進(jìn)入全盛時(shí)期，并成為當(dāng)時(shí)世界上最強(qiáng)盛的國(guó)家，史稱“開(kāi)元盛世”，前后共29年。

The Flourishing Kaiyuan Reign Period
The Flourishing Kaiyuan Reign Period refers to the heyday of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. In his reign of 44 years, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang was known as the following titles: Xiantian (712), Kaiyuan (713-740), and Tianbao (741-756). During the years he was known as Kaiyuan, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang installed capable officials, removed political corruption, reformed the military system, expanded the western border, reinstituted the silk road, vigorously developed the economy, advocated the development of culture, education, and science, and strengthened diplomacy. This created a golden age for the Tang Dynasty, and made it the most powerful country in the world during its time. This is historically known as the “Flourishing Kaiyuan Reign Period”, and lasted for 29 years.
