英譯漢中的倒裝 （ 1 ）
一般來說，英語句子是主語在先，謂語動詞在后。但在有些情況下，必須是謂語動詞放在主語前面，這種情況就稱為倒裝。 英語句子的倒裝有如下幾種情況：
① 在疑問句中 :
Do you ever allow pleasure to interfere with duty?
你有沒有讓玩樂妨礙過職責(zé)？
② 在感嘆句中：
Doesn’t it smell delicious!
這味道聞起來真美！
Am I hungry !
我好餓?。?BR> ③ 在否定詞之后：
Never in all my life have I heard such nonsense.
我一生中從來沒有聽說過這樣荒謬的話。
By no means is it true that all American citizens speak their own language well.
所有美國公民都把他們自己的語言說得很好，這絕非事實。
Not until he got home did he realize that he had lost his watch.
直到回家之后他才發(fā)現(xiàn)把表丟了。
No sooner had he said it than he wished he had not done so.
他話一說出口就希望他沒有說就好了。
Scarcely had we started lunch when the doorbell rang.
我們剛開始吃午飯門鈴就響了。
④ 以 only 開頭的副詞短語或副詞從句放在句首加強語氣時：
Only yesterday did they get married.
他們昨天才結(jié)婚。
Only on very rare occasions does he give you a word of praise.
他難得贊美你一句。
Only after a year did I begin to see the results of my work.
一年之后，我才開始看到我的工作成果。
Only when the teacher dismisses the class can we stand and leave the room.
只有老師向我們宣布了下課時，我們才能站起來離開教室。
