Jo: Today’s word is internship I.N.T.E.R.N.S.H.I.P.

Jo: Yes, it can be an important part of student life.
Sun Chen: 還是很重要的一個(gè)單詞。那你還是解釋一下吧。
Jo: An internship is an arrangement where a student works in a company for a limited period of time, usually to gain work experience.
Sun Chen: 這么說 internship 就是短期的實(shí)習(xí);學(xué)生通??梢阅玫较鄳?yīng)的工作經(jīng)驗(yàn) work experience.
Jo: There aren’t many internships available, so it’s highly competitive。
Sun Chen: Highly competitive. 競(jìng)爭(zhēng)很激烈,看來同學(xué)們很早就要面對(duì)現(xiàn)實(shí)問題了。

A: What are your plans for the summer holiday?
B: I don’t know yet. I’m hoping to get an internship with an investment bank.
A: Oh, dear, it’s going to be tough. I wish you luck.
