A lot of us students at college dream of going abroad for further study. Inside the country we are under the protcction of our parents， teachers and schoolmates. We have no sense of crisis. However， we want to see the world， and we enjoy adventure. I am no exeeption. My parents do not think much of it. They would have me near them， yet I will have my owu way. I envy those who are lucky enough to get the scholarship. And God hlessed me. I am also awarded with a teaching assistantship. Now I have stepped onto the American soil， and I am standing on it with a snide.
The outside world is wonderful and also strange. I am speaking from my own feelings as one who has come to the United States. Immigration or further study abroad， the identity of both puts us overseas Chinese in a solitary state.
Everyone has this subconsciousness， that if the country we are from or belong to， is strong and advanced， we are born with a sense of superiority. Some tend to try hard to show it. Some reveal it with or without intention. Even those poorly educated are proud and look down upon others. We are equally educated. We have the same grace and manner and temperament. Why should they look down upon us？
I think the key lies in that we should first make our country strong economicaly. Economy is the foundation of a nation. Only when the nation is strong， so will its people. Of course， education plays an important role in the making of a nation.
談出國(guó)
許多大學(xué)生，夢(mèng)想出國(guó)深造。在國(guó)內(nèi)，我們有父母，老師和同學(xué)的愛護(hù)，不會(huì)有危機(jī)感。然而，我們都想見世面，闖天下，我也不例外。我父母對(duì)此不以為然，他們要留我在身邊，而我卻一意孤行。我羨慕那些得到獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的人。上蒼對(duì)我不薄，我也得到資助，帶著笑容踏上了美國(guó)國(guó)土。
外面的世界很精采，也很怪異。我是以一個(gè)先行者的心情來說的。移民或留學(xué)，這兩種身份都是使海外的國(guó)人倍感孤立的原因。
人總有這么一種潛意識(shí)，如果自己或自己所屬于的國(guó)家很強(qiáng)，很先進(jìn)，那么他的氣質(zhì)里便會(huì)有一種天生的優(yōu)越感，有的人喜歡刻意地去表現(xiàn)之，有的人有意無意地流露出來。甚至連教養(yǎng)差的人也看不起別人。我們一樣地受教育，講禮貌，有氣質(zhì)，憑什么別人瞧不起我們？
我認(rèn)為關(guān)鍵在于首先要使我們的國(guó)家經(jīng)濟(jì)強(qiáng)盛起來。經(jīng)濟(jì)是國(guó)民的基礎(chǔ)，只有國(guó)家強(qiáng)大了，人民才會(huì)強(qiáng)大。當(dāng)然，教育在國(guó)民的成功之道中起著重要作用。
