最近做的閱讀比較多,主要是開始關(guān)心起自己生活的這個(gè)社會(huì)來了。加上自己周圍免費(fèi)的閱讀材料比較多,每周二和周四都會(huì)收到免費(fèi)的社區(qū)報(bào),每周一和周四都會(huì)在city收到免費(fèi)的城市報(bào),再加上各個(gè)跟生活開支有關(guān)的公司的定期不定期的報(bào)紙雜志宣傳冊(cè),每天光讀這些免費(fèi)刊物都忙得不亦樂乎。幸虧每天上班都有一個(gè)小時(shí)的時(shí)間是坐在火車上,所以可以大略的瀏覽一下自己關(guān)心的話題。想全部讀完是不可能的。:）
讀得多了就覺得有些東西很有意思,就想貼上來跟大家分享。順便讓大家也了解一下澳洲人平時(shí)在做些什么,他們的生活和社會(huì)是什么樣的。跟以前我貼上來的series一樣,我不能保證每天上來貼,也不能保證一直貼下去,因?yàn)樯羁偸怯行﹦?dòng)蕩不安,I can't promise anything. 但是至少今天打算多貼一些,因?yàn)閿€了很多小東西。
下面這篇小文章大家先讀一下,看看能明白多少,我會(huì)在文章后面加一些背景材料什么的,大家可以在看了背景材料之后再回來讀一遍,可能就會(huì)明白很多了。
Frillseeker
Just weeks after signing up as an NRMA Member, I came across a gorgeous frilled-neck lizard on the road. Being a considerate driver, I pulled over to the side and attempted to move the lizard. Unfortunately, the lizard took off under my Barina and proceeded to wedge itself in the wheel arches.
I spent the next hour running from wheel to wheel, trying to get the lizard out from under the car—but to no avail！ Finally I decided to ring NRMA and get them to remove the wheel and save the lizard.
The NRMA guys are very obliging （after they stopped laughing！） and removed the wheel. Fortunately, the lizard came out alive and well and me and my Barina were back on the road in no time at all. It pays to belong.

2.澳洲人愛護(hù)動(dòng)物已經(jīng)到了讓人覺得有點(diǎn)精神分裂的地步了。澳洲有很多有關(guān)動(dòng)物的電視節(jié)目,他們?yōu)榱司纫恢圾B,救一匹馬,不惜花費(fèi)巨大的財(cái)力人力物力?？催@位老先生怎么救那只蜥蜴就知道了。
