摩西重“理性”（reason），耶穌重“愛心”。在天國舉行的“人生要素是什么”的五人討論會(huì)中第三位發(fā)言者是馬克思，他說：You are both wrong!（你倆都錯(cuò)了！）然后指著肚皮說：The most important thing in life is here.人生最重要的是肚中要有吃的。（說笑話的人也是“溫飽第一”論者乎？）食物代表物質(zhì)（material），馬克思認(rèn)為最重要的是“唯物主義”（materialism）也。
第四位發(fā)言者是弗洛依德。他說：Gentlemen, you are all mistaken.（各位先生，你們?nèi)e(cuò)了！——他比馬克思客氣，不用wrong而用mistaken.）The most important thing is further below.（最重要的東西還要再下去些），他一面說，一面指著腹下之物。弗洛依德的“性”（sex）解說人生，乃有此一指。
于是，第五位學(xué)者要求發(fā)言了。他說：You are all completely off the mark.（不說all wrong，也不說all mistaken，以all completely off the mark指“離題太遠(yuǎn)”，錯(cuò)了。）
