This Tuesday， I went to a book show with my father. Being so excited on the way there， I complained of the traffic's moving so slowly， like tortoises（烏龜）。
From my childhood， I began to be absorbed in books， not only fairy story-books， but also books on science. After growing bigger [As I am growing up] （1） ， I love books even more. I regard books as my close friends. Whenever [Whether] （ 2 ） I'm sad or happy， lucky or not， books never leave me. With a book in my hands， I'll worry about nothing. I often bury myself in the story and believe everything in it， thinking it must have happened once upon a time. So silly， isn't it？ I keep this hobby till today and reading is still [remains] （ 3 ） my greatest pleasure.
Because of this hobby， I like going to buy different kinds of books from time to time. I love visiting bookstores， just like visiting my old friends. While choosing books in bookstores， I just feel myself sailing in the sea of books （ 4 ） And each kind of books interests me. Before I find a book I am interested in and I intend to buy， I will take everything into consideration： the content， the author and also the background of the book， except for the price. I sometimes spend all the money in my pocket just toget a book for reading. A good book is priceless， isn't it？ You see， I'm crazy about books！
This time [at the show] （5）， I bought several reference books including an English one， and a novel as well. That night， I felt myself sailing in the sea of books once again（6）。

（1）原文的詞組 After growing bigger，有不妥之處，一是學(xué)生本身還處于成長階段，二是bigger僅意為體形的長大，而不是身心各方面的成長，故改為 As I am growing up.
（2）這里應(yīng)該用 whether，與后面 or呼應(yīng)。
（3）原文 is still 沒錯，但改為 remains后語言更雅致些，也更達意。
（4）、（6）有些夸張過度，不夠自然。
（5）加上 at the show回復(fù)到開頭提到的書市，表達更清楚。注意介詞at的用法。
