Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join the Renal Genetics group. This dynamic team, led by Professor Fiona Karet and Dr Richard Sandford, has major interests in renal tubular disorders and polycystic kidney disease. The post is funded by an award from The National Institute for Health Research Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre. Such centres aim to translate fundamental biomedical research into clinical benefits for health.
Current projects include biomarker discovery, identification of novel therapeutic targets and functional consequences disease specific mutations.
The laboratory is situated in the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research on the Addenbrooke’s Hospital campus and offers excellent core and specialist facilities.
The successful candidate must be highly motivated and organised with a PhD in a relevant subject. Experience in tissue culture, microscopy, PCR and related molecular biological techniques are highly desirable.
