6月6日晚7點(diǎn)多乘新空調(diào)特快，7日早7點(diǎn)多到北京站，乘地鐵到國(guó)貿(mào)橋，B出口，步行至光華路(可見(jiàn)嘉里)，沿光華路東行至針織路，路口北100米就是“好運(yùn)旅社”了。沒(méi)有單人間，于是要了一個(gè)110元/晚的雙人間，無(wú)一次性洗漱用品，其它電話、彩電、空調(diào)、衛(wèi)生間都有。
8號(hào)早先退了房，6:55從旅館出發(fā)，7點(diǎn)10左右到了嘉里，在大廳等到7:25左右。上21樓，排隊(duì)、安檢、交材料和手續(xù)費(fèi)，打印顯示是9:02。果然9點(diǎn)多一點(diǎn)時(shí)，男翻譯T聲音：QXG，9號(hào)。
打開(kāi)9號(hào)門(mén)，進(jìn)去，傻眼，一個(gè)人都沒(méi)有，放下包，坐下，等一分鐘，男翻譯進(jìn)來(lái)。
Me: 早上好。
T: 嗯。等一會(huì)兒簽證官。
等了又至少一分鐘，稍微有點(diǎn)發(fā)福的白玫瑰進(jìn)來(lái)，坐下。
Me: Good morning, ……(沒(méi)說(shuō)完)
V: Chinese or English
T: 中文？英文？
Me: English, plz
V: English, good! （除了96年時(shí)的大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四六級(jí)，我沒(méi)參加過(guò)雅思、托或G考試）
V: so you will go to the University of XXXXX
Me: Yes
V: why go to the University?
Me: I will visit the school of the built environment as a postdoctoral visitor. It’s well known for its research on HVAC, that is heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and renewable energy.
V: what will you do there?
Me: the main purpose is to conduct research on HVAC or renewable energy. And I will learn more advanced skills and knowledge. After that I will come back.
V: what will you do to help your living expenses there
Me: the school will make an allowance of xxxx pounds. And myself have saved xxxx yuan. That’s totally xxxx pounds.
V: how long will you be there
Me: six months
V: is there any connection between the school and your group?
Me: Myself contacted the head of the school in last November and said that I hoped to visit the school. The prof. is satisfied with my research.
V沉默一會(huì): wait for a moment。
Me: yes
V起身，出去.
T: 請(qǐng)等一會(huì)。
一分鐘后，V回來(lái).
V: you plan to arrive there on 28th AUG?
Me: yes
考試在表上寫(xiě)，翻譯在一邊看，然后拿出一張A4，開(kāi)始寫(xiě)，簽證官簽名。
V: your visa will be valid from 28th AUG.
Me: yeah
簽證官轉(zhuǎn)身就走了，我沖著背影: thank you.
T: 你的簽證28號(hào)開(kāi)始生效。
Me: 謝謝。
前后總共6、7分鐘。出來(lái)沖大廳里等候的人們做了一個(gè)勝利的手勢(shì)，祝大家都好運(yùn)，下午領(lǐng)護(hù)照時(shí)的人特多，看來(lái)形式很不錯(cuò)。

本人剛剛博士畢業(yè)，未與國(guó)內(nèi)單位簽工作合同（否則無(wú)法現(xiàn)在就出去深造），表上寫(xiě)父母贊助機(jī)票，但未帶戶(hù)口簿和資助信。其它準(zhǔn)備了一大堆材料，包括對(duì)方主頁(yè)、學(xué)位和學(xué)歷證書(shū)原件、成績(jī)單、獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金證書(shū)、博士論文摘要、發(fā)表論文復(fù)印件和SCI、EI收錄頁(yè)面等，都沒(méi)派上用場(chǎng)。
