相似詞語(yǔ)辨析【49】decided和decisive

    乍然看來(lái),這兩個(gè)詞都是表示“決定的”意思,似乎無(wú)甚區(qū)別可言,其實(shí)不然。
    Decided是個(gè)被動(dòng)(passive)意義的詞,它可用于人,也可用于事物;decisive是個(gè)主動(dòng)(active)意味的詞,不能用于人,只能用于事物。
    在詞義上,這兩個(gè)詞也有差異。decided表示“決定了的”、“堅(jiān)定不渝”之意;decisive則表示“有決定性的”、“堅(jiān)決果斷的”涵義。例:
    He was quite decided in the matter and no one could stop him.
