澳大利亞人非常喜歡烤肉野餐,或者在自家后院,或者在自然保護(hù)區(qū)。這種自然保護(hù)區(qū)大都劃出一定的地方,砌上爐灶(這種爐灶,英語(yǔ)也叫barbecue),有時(shí)還備有桌凳;供人們野餐時(shí)使用。人們可以自帶木柴,也可以免費(fèi)使用公家提供的木柴,這樣他們就不會(huì)隨便砍樹了。人們到這里來野餐,都要帶肉來烤,通常還要帶沙拉、黃油、面包、水果,甚至糕點(diǎn)。有的人喝灑、啤酒或軟飲料,也有的人在爐灶上燒水泡茶或沖咖啡。夏季干旱,容易發(fā)生火災(zāi),因此有時(shí)禁止點(diǎn)火,這時(shí)人們就不能烤肉,只好吃冷餐了。
