Reptiles’ Rule!
The remnant would not disappear. They hid underground, in the grasses, behind rocks and along the oceans. While there was only a small remainder and repression was constant, they all agreed that there would some day be a reprisal that would cause them to be more renowned than ever before. And they would relish that day when they were no longer seen as relics from the distant past. For reptiles were watching, and though there was a renaissance of interest in their ancestors, the dinosaurs, there would be repercussions where no remorse or mercy would be shown towards humans. The reptiles would someday rule the earth again!
Over the years the reptiles’ repertoire of defenses against humans had grown. They could repel people with sounds and movements that created fear in humans that was reminiscent of the dinosaurs they all seemed to love.
But the advancement of human culture was relentless and the day for repaying humans for taking over the world seemed further and further away. Some reptiles had even come to a certain reliance on humans. But other reptiles reproached these and told them that one day they would have to renounce the people they called their owners.
So they all waited and looked forward to the day when they would renovate the world for reptiles again. And when the reptiles were big strong enough no other species would be able to repeal their rule! The dinosaur age would come again!
