1．Bug 做名詞最基本的意思是小蟲(chóng)、臭蟲(chóng);做動(dòng)詞分兩種情況：不及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)有“捉臭蟲(chóng)”的含義；及物動(dòng)詞則意為“安裝竊聽(tīng)器”。另外，在計(jì)算機(jī)行業(yè)，程序缺陷、電腦系統(tǒng)或者程序中存在的任何一種破壞正常運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)能力的缺陷，都可以叫做“bug”。
例句：
The police had bugged the house to get some evidence.
警方已經(jīng)在房間里安裝了監(jiān)聽(tīng)器，以便獲得一些證據(jù)。
2．Monkey around 到處閑逛，和另一個(gè)短語(yǔ)hang about意義相近，它可不是“繞著猴子跑的意思”。
例句：
The humiliated father firmly told his son to stop monkeying around in front of all the guests.
