    劇中:It was a mix up, I guess.
    mix up :誤解,誤會(huì), a misunderstanding or confusion
    e.g. <1>I thought you said we’re going to meet on Park street not on Main street. What a mix up!
    我記得你說我們?cè)赑ark大街見面,而不是Main大街。你瞧瞧全搞亂了,誤會(huì)了!
    <2>If it wasn’t for the mix up, I would have been here on time.
    要不是因?yàn)檎`會(huì),我肯定會(huì)準(zhǔn)時(shí)到達(dá)的。
    經(jīng)典對(duì)白:
    1.chunk :大量的, a large amount
    e.g. <1>I won quite a chunk of money in the lottery.
    我中了彩票,贏了一大筆錢。
    <2>That hairdresser just cut a chunk of my hair off. It’s so short now.
    那個(gè)理發(fā)師剪掉了我那么多頭發(fā),現(xiàn)在這么短了。
    2.劇中: before it gets kicked up to me.
    kick up / over to sb.:遞給,轉(zhuǎn)給某人, transfer
    e.g.<1> After you’re done reading the paper, will you kick it over to me?
    你看完報(bào)紙后能不能給我看看?
    <2>If you’re not happy with those jeans, kick them up to me. I really like them.
    如果你不喜歡這些牛仔,給我吧,我真的很喜歡他們。
    3.no dice :no way ,no chance,沒戲,沒可能
    e.g. <1>I asked my Dad if I could borrow his car, but he said no dice.
    我問我爸能不能借他的車,他說不行。
    <2>My sister said no dice when I asked her if I could come to the club with her.
