Parking is prohibited in this area. 此處禁止停車。
3. 有時可引申為“領(lǐng)域”、“方面”，是可數(shù)名詞：
There havebeen many developments in the area of language teaching. 語言教學(xué)方面已有許多新的發(fā)展。
