Israel To Expand Offensive Against Hezbollah
Israel's security Cabinet has approved a wider ground offensive against Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon. Cabinet members, meeting Wednesday, agreed to send troops as far as 30 kilometers into Lebanon, to the Litani River.
Israel says that 15 of its soldiers were wounded during clashes with Hezbollah eight kilometers inside Lebanon Wednesday. Lebanese security officials say at least five people were killed in Israeli air-strikes in the eastern Bekaa Valley.
Hezbollah guerrillas fired more rockets into northern Israel. No casualties were reported from that barrage.
