We are currently seeking Intern – Functional QA Engineer to join Product Deve lopment team in Beijing, China.
Position Overview:
MSCI is seeking an outstanding quality assurance engineer Intern to join our p roduct development team in Beijing. As a key member of this team, this individ ual will work closely with the development teams based in Oklahoma, Ann Arbor, and New York City to ensure that MSCI risk applications continue to provide c lients exceptional quality and sophistication. This individual is expected to be detail oriented and capable of performing multi-task assignments in a timel y and independent fashion.
This intern will work on innovative applications utilizing the latest technolo gies, and will be responsible for ensuring that product specifications and fun ctionality fulfill client needs. The individual is expected to create tests, s etup regression automation, and execute functional tests for risk applications . This intern should be highly motivated, have strong communications skills, a nd the ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will have opportunity to work on innovative financial applicatio ns utilizing the latest technologies and will be responsible for understanding client needs and for ensuring that product specifications and functionality f ulfill client needs. The members of our functional QA team have the opportunit y to contribute in a broad set of roles including: studying functional, non-fu nctional specifications, developing test plans and test cases, verifying web s ervice components, implementing and using automated test tools, and estimating level of effort of project requirements.
The candidate will be exposed on a daily basis to a range of topics in the fol lowing areas: - Develop, monitor, and intervene on automated test framework for workflow , web services, and user interfaces. - Document results for benchmarking purposes and track performance. - Investigate client issues and work with the team to provide resolution. - Ability to independently investigate open issues regarding the product f unctions in a Web Application and document any errors.
Desired Qualifications: - Written and oral proficiency in English. - Comfortable working in a team and bringing people together across teams. - Adapts quickly to working within a rapidly evolving state-of-the-art sof tware architecture and strong multitasking abilities. - Currently pursuing Master or Bachelor degree of Computer Science or Engi neering in reputable Universities. - Strong Programming experience with C , Java, Perl or Ruby, XML. - High degree of motivation, with strong communications skills and ability to learn quickly. - Understanding of REST and SOAP-based web services. - Can take fulltime internship for at least six months.
