中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨在歷經(jīng)腥風(fēng)血雨和種種艱難險(xiǎn)阻后，在黃土高原落下了腳。當(dāng)中華民族處在最危急的時(shí)刻，是黨高擎抗日大旗，凝聚起愛國(guó)力量，浴血奮戰(zhàn)，救亡圖存，成為抵御外侮的中流砥柱。中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨在全國(guó)人民中的影響日益深入人心，紀(jì)念黨的誕辰成為黨員和人民群眾的愿望。當(dāng)時(shí)在延安，參加過黨的一大會(huì)議的只有毛澤東和董必武兩人，由于時(shí)隔多年，檔案難尋，黨的一大開幕日期一時(shí)無(wú)法確認(rèn)。于是他們就把7月的第一天作為黨誕生的紀(jì)念日。1941年6月，黨中央發(fā)出了《關(guān)于中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨誕生二十周年、抗戰(zhàn)四周年紀(jì)念指示》，正式把7月1日確定為黨的誕生紀(jì)念日。盡管后來考證出黨的一大是在7月23日開幕的，但仍然以7月1日作為中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨的誕生紀(jì)念日。
