In new network on 24 April, according to the Canadian "Sing Tao Daily" reported, 23, University of British Columbia (UBC) Chinese students and Scholars Association for 3 consecutive days, on campus for Sichuan earthquake victims in Ya'an launched a fund-raising activities. 王弘毅說，聯(lián)誼會(huì)現(xiàn)有會(huì)員超過2500人，他們除了籌募救災(zāi)善款之外，初步計(jì)劃在華人比較集中的地方，如列治文中心(Richmond Centre)商場(chǎng)舉行義演，但時(shí)值期末考試，他們只能盡力而為。
