"Trick or Treat", called the pirates, as they knocked on the door. "Hand over the treasure! We’re gettin’ real sore." "Great Bluebeard’s ghost!", said the man. "Here! Here!" "What wonderful costumes, the best of this year." "Here, take it all, boys", he said, faking fright. "The Missus and I will call it a night." The three pirates cheered and to their ship started back. But they stopped for a moment and looked in their sack. "What’s this?", roared the Captain. "Oh, this is just dandy! That scoundrel has tricked us with a big bag of candy!" The mate said, "Let’s keep it. We’ve a long voyage ahead. I get so tired of that stale nasty bread." "Perhaps it’s a custom to give treats on this day. Let’s come again next year. What do you say?"
