Mark: "English is a very easy language to learn."
馬克：英語(yǔ)是一門(mén)很容易學(xué)的
Susan: "What do you mean?"
蘇珊：你的意思是？
Mark: "Well, what I meant to say was that it is easy if you practice every day."
馬克：額，我的意思是如果你每天練習(xí)就會(huì)很簡(jiǎn)單。
Susan: "Oh, right."
蘇珊：哦，是的。
以下是幾種在日常英語(yǔ)中能把問(wèn)題解釋清楚的地道說(shuō)法：
1、重組語(yǔ)句，換一種說(shuō)法
"What I meant to say was…" 我的意思是…
"Let me rephrase that…" 讓我來(lái)解釋一下…
"Let me put this another way…" 讓我換一種說(shuō)法…
"Perhaps I'm not making myself clear…" 也許我沒(méi)表達(dá)清楚我的意思…
2、從頭再說(shuō)一次
"If we go back to the beginning…" 如果從頭說(shuō)的話(huà)…
"The basic idea is…" 基本的想法就是…
"One way of looking at it is…" 觀(guān)點(diǎn)之一就是…
"Another way of looking at it is…" 另一種觀(guān)點(diǎn)就是…
3、如果一下子卡了殼,想不起來(lái)用英語(yǔ)怎么說(shuō)
"I can't find the word I'm looking for…" 我想不起來(lái)我要說(shuō)的那個(gè)單詞了…
"I'm not sure that this is the right word, but…" 我不確定這是不是合適的話(huà)，但是…
"What I want to say is…" 我想說(shuō)的是…
不要害怕重復(fù)你的話(huà)，如果每次解釋的話(huà)都有稍微的差別，讓人可以猜測(cè)到你要說(shuō)什么，基本上別人都能理解個(gè)八九不離十。
