The Sydney branch of Bank of China has been authorised as the official RMB clearing bank in Australia, stepping up the use of Chinese currency in international business.
中國(guó)銀行悉尼分行已被授權(quán)為澳大利亞官方人民幣清算行，加強(qiáng)在國(guó)際業(yè)務(wù)上使用中國(guó)貨幣。
According the memorandum of understanding inked by the two countries’ central banks, the People’s Bank of China and the Reserve Bank of Australia, China will set up the clearing bank in Sydney to handle transactions denominated in RMB. The clearing arrangements will provide more direct means of facilitating cross-border RMB transactions between Chinese and Australian entities.
