1 (A=Gang B=Greg C=M)
A:Uugh...Greg. I'm ill. I feel terrible. I think I have flu. I have a fever and a sore throat, and I feel weak. Maybe I should go to hospital.
    A:啊,格雷。
    B:What?
    B:為什么?
A:Yes. This is serious. I need to go and get some antibiotics from the doctor at the hospital. I'm dying.
C:Come on,Gang. It can't be that bad. You just have a cold. And,anyway, what good will antibiotics do if you have a cold or flu? They're viruses.
A:That's what we always do in China. If we have flu, we need to get antibiotics or get put on an IV drip.
C:That's mad! What a bunch of hypochondriacs! The hospitals must be full of people with colds lying there with drips in their arms!
B:Well, my friend worked in China and he said that he saw people threatening the doctors and telling them to give their relatives a drip for a cold.
A:Well what am I supposed to do?
B:Well if you have a cold, just drink plenty of liquids and stay at home. And if ifs flu. we have a saying,"flu lasts for a week with treatment, and seven days without". But if you really want to go to the doctor's, we can try and make an appointment. I doubt they'll see you today though.
C:I'll call the surgery...they said you can go along to the walk-in centre this morning, and they'll see you there. You'll need to wait though.
2 (A=Nurse, B=Gang)
A:OK,open your mouth and let me see inside...say "aaah."
    B:Aaah.
    B:啊。
A:Right. I need to take your temperature... pop this in your mouth. Hmmm. Right... roll your sleeve up and I'll just pop this round your arm. Now,let me listen to your chest...ake your shirt off...hmmm... okay...right.
    B:Is it serious?
A:No. You have a cold. How long have you been here?
    B:Not long.
A:Well these things happen when you move to a new environment. It takes time for your body build up resistance. You know, Mr Wang, there's no cure for the common cold. All you can do is drink plenty of fluids and stay at home. If your headache is bad, just take some aspirin of paracetamol. You know, healthcare is free at the point of delivery here—that's why we don't abuse it.
