Beth is in a cafe, waiting for Alex to finishhis Christmas shopping.Eventually he arrives。

Beth: Did you get everything?
貝絲：要買的都買了嗎?
Alex: Hardly. I haven't even got half my presents。
阿力：沒(méi)有啊，我連一半的禮物都沒(méi)買到。
Beth: I told you it'd be busy。

Alex: Ok, clever clogs!

Beth: People go completely round the bend, don't they? You'd thinkthe shopswere going to close for a whole month。

Alex: To be honest, I wish they would。
